Wow! A Bucket List Achievement I Didn't Know I Had

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the perfect weather gave way to a perfect night at Oak Park Brewery for We Are Sacramento's "Artists Make the City" beer label release. I'm excited to share I have the honor of being one of the featured artists whose image graces the can of a special-edition Amber Pilsner!

Next time you go for a brew, visit Oak Park Brewery and ask for the "We Are Sacramento" 2026 can series. It's a collaboration highlighting local talent, storytellers, and community builders.

Each of us featured artists hung a sampling of our work for the Oak Park special event. I chose 4 images I would categorically call "Chingona!" Each image featured the different sides of the Chingona Chicana. The images below are available for purchase. Please visit my gallery, if the image you want is not in the gallery, please inquire.

If you already follow me on social media you already know the night went from a packed brewery with music by Dj @santanamustdie to live Cumbia at Raza y Rolas benefit for NorCal Resist at The Latino Center for Art and Culture, where I contributed 2 pieces for their silent auction.

Also Currently on View

I have two pieces, "An Offering of Chicha" and "Reciprocity", showing in YoloArts’ Art Farm exhibition at The Barn Gallery in Woodland, one by invitation and the second selected through the juried process. Art Farm celebrates Yolo County’s agricultural landscape and the art it inspires, bringing together artists, farmers, and community. The exhibition is on view through October 17, 2026.

New Bird Studio at Sacramento Theatre-Con

The 2nd Annual Sacramento Theatre-Con returns October 17-18, and I'm excited to be part of the planning committee for my second year.

My role with Theatre-Con has grown this year to include creative strategy for the event, including designing and developing the new SacTheatreCon.com website and shaping Theatre-Con's social media presence. I've also been working with the planning committee as we bring together two days of workshops, performances, keynote presentations, and opportunities for Sacramento's theatre community to connect.

I'll also be leading two workshops this year.

In Costume: Theatre Portrait Sessions

Following the costume show, I'll photograph 12 participants in quick portrait sessions with New Bird Studio. Each participant will receive two professionally edited digital images, along with an exclusive $100 Theatre-Con credit toward a future New Bird Studio portfolio session.

The Art of Being Remembered

Storytelling for Theatre Artists & Organizations

Being memorable isn't about promoting yourself louder. It's about creating a feeling, telling a story, and doubling down on what is authentically yours. We'll explore how interests, experiences, and creative work can intersect to build stronger connections, and how photography, branding, websites, and visual identity can work together to tell a cohesive story.

Last year, I taught workshops on branding and online presence for actors and preparing for a portfolio session. I'm looking forward to returning this year with two new experiences that continue that conversation from a different perspective.

Explore the New Theatre-Con Website

The new SacTheatreCon.com is now live!

You can visit the site to learn more about Theatre-Con, explore the current workshop lineup, meet facilitators, and start planning your weekend.

The program is still being finalized, so you may see workshop additions or adjustments as we get closer to Theatre-Con, and the final weekend itinerary is still taking shape. We'll continue updating the website as those details are confirmed.
