Hahnemühle Natural FineArt Inkjet Paper

70% Agave Fibre, 30% Cotton

17 × 22 in. matted, unframed

The tatreez and keffiyah embroidery tell a story. Common within Indigenous cultures, history and legacy are often woven into the fibers of traditional clothing. The tatreez in this piece speaks to the land Sarah’s grandmother is from. The keffiyah, traditionally worn as a symbol of resistance and identity, adds another layer of meaning, representing resilience and connection to cultural heritage.

Rooted in the Future exhibit page, where you can read her story and the stories of the seven other people featured in the exhibit. This exhibition was created to bridge cultures through our Indigenous ancestral traditions, highlighting our commonalities.
